This female mountain lion was treed after a long jumped race, less than a mile from my house. She would make circles going over her same tracks. Several times she would start in a different direction only to turn around and leave in a completely different direction. This would cause confusion amongst the hounds and take them some time to figure out which way she had gone. This went on for a couple of hours before she was finally treed.
I believe one of my young pups was running a deer and they disturbed her before my other hounds ever got close. She obviously began moving and tried her best to loose the other hounds. She’s a beautiful mountain lion and I left her sitting in the tree after taking several great photos.
