Private Elk Herd

We are very excited to have acquired a Game Park in southwestern New Mexico.  This is prime elk and mule deer habitat. Our game park has  diverse flora consisting of mahogany and oak brush, juniper trees,and gramma grass.  The terrain consists of grassy hillsides and fairly steep rocky canyons with trees and brush.

Although past owners have neglected the park, elk and deer populations are now increasing.  We’ve cleaned and repaired the springs and water sources, repaired fences and are controlling the predators.  We will take one or two mule deer hunters per year, but will not hunt any elk for a couple of years.  At that time, populations will have rebounded and we will resume trophy elk hunting in the park.
