Youth Mule Deer Hunting
Youth mule deer hunts are special hunts to encourage a young hunter’s interest in the sport of hunting. These hunts are on the same ranches we do our other mule deer hunts. The ranches are private land with public land intermingled within their borders. Myself and the ranch owners control the access to the public land portions of the ranches. The country ranges from the mesquite-cactus country of the Chihuahuan Desert to mahogany-oak brush covered hills.
Our “Youth Mule Deer” hunt takes place in the later part of September. The bucks will usually still be in velvet and they make a magnificent trophy for a young hunter. We’ll be using a variety of hunting methods and you can expect to see between 8 to 15 bucks a day. Accommodations are a ranch house or bunk house and we provide 1 guide for every youth hunter. One parent or guardian is included in the hunt price. You may also bring 1 non hunter with you at the regular non-hunter rate per day.
You must be under 18 years of age on opening day of the hunt to qualify for the youth hunt. You must also have a “Hunter Safety” certificate and it must be in your possession. If you forget to bring your certificate you will not be able to hunt and you will not be refunded you hunt fees.
This hunt is an excellent quality hunt for a young hunter.
